# HR Administrator
## About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our HR function at our Head Office in Lichfield. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career in HR by engaging in various administrative activities, from maintaining employee records to facilitating the recruitment process.
## Key responsibilities
- **HR Administration:**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records on the HR system.
- Prepare HR letters, contracts, starter documents, change forms, and leaver paperwork.
- Support administration of absence, probation, performance, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR when storing HR files and documents.
- Monitor HR inbox queries and respond or escalate as necessary.
- **Recruitment and Onboarding:**
- Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies and arranging interviews.
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation.
- Conduct right to work checks and support pre-employment compliance checks.
- Coordinate references, DBS checks, and new starter documentation.
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new starters.
- **HR Systems and Reporting:**
- Maintain HR databases and spreadsheets accurately.
- Produce basic HR reports, including absence, starters, leavers, and recruitment activity.
- Support data quality checks and process improvements.
- Maintain training and compliance records where required.
- **General HR Support:**
- Provide administrative support during HR meetings, including document preparation and note-taking.
- Support HR projects and process improvements.
- Liaise with managers, employees, payroll, recruitment, and external providers.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
## What we are looking for

- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
- Capability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professional, approachable, and reliable demeanour.
**Desirable:**
- Previous HR or recruitment administration experience.
- Familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems.
- Understanding of GDPR and basic employment processes.
- CIPD Level 3 or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience in health, social care, recruitment, or a regulated environment.
